Early Intervention Newcastle
Services at Pathways EI
Pathways EI is a mobile behaviour intervention service based in the Newcastle, Hunter Valley, and Port Stephens regions. We provide in-home Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) intervention to teach and support children between the ages of 18 months to 12 years.
At Pathways EI we offer individualised, child-centred programs that are tailored to meet the needs of your child and your family. Our programs are based on the safest and most effective intervention for children with ASD and related developmental disabilities. We offer programs for early learners, and school aged kids, and also provide intervention to address common difficulties, including toilet training and sleep struggles.
All programs at Pathways EI are overseen by passionate Board Certified Behaviour Analysts. Our clinicians endeavour to teach each child the skills they need to approach the world with independence, choice, and access to every possible opportunity.
What is Applied Behaviour Analysis?
Applied behaviour analysis (ABA) is the application of the science of learning to socially significant skills. ABA uses a range of teaching methods and interventions to teach new skills, reduce challenging behaviour, and generalise skills across settings. There is over 40 years of research demonstrating ABA as a safe and effective method for teaching a range of important skills, including communication, language, play, social skills, and personal independence.
